Crash in Stockton Injures Two

Anytime you get behind the wheel of your car, you need to make safety a priority for you, your passengers and anyone else you may come into contact with. Losing sight of this priority can quickly turn your car into a threat to countless lives. Of course, even when you are trying your best to drive as safely as possible, accidents can happen. This is why it makes sense to always have the contact info for a local attorney handy in case something goes wrong.

Recently, a driver in Stockton learned firsthand how quickly a simple ride can go from uneventful to life threatening. A 21 year-old man was driving west on Market Street by 33rd Street in Stockton when the accident occurred. Though investigators didn’t say how fast the BMW sedan was going, they have reported that speed is believed to have been a factor in what transpired.

In any case, the driver lost control at around 10:30 pm this past Sunday, July 20th. At some point, the vehicle veered off the roadway completely and collided with a tree. The extent of the damage to the car was bad enough that the driver couldn’t get out or be immediately extracted when rescue workers arrived on the scene. His BMW needed to be cut through before the driver could finally be saved.

Fortunately, Officer Dino Delimitros of the San Diego police reported that the driver’s injuries were not considered life-threatening. The passenger is fine as well.

There is no word on any other factors that may have played a role in the accident. However, both the driver and passenger are lucky something far worse didn’t occur. Nonetheless, the driver will want a lawyer if the police bring charges against him or the city demands compensation for the tree they hit. Plus, the minor he was driving around could have a case too.
